I've always loved New Year's Eve. For me, it's the perfect excuse to put on some sparkle, eat a fantastic dinner, and dream into the possibilities a new year might hold. This year it seems the stores are full of sequin looks, statement bows, and lots of shine, so I've rounded up a ton of Spring options in my holiday edit.
SHOP MY LOOKS
I love some sparkle and am really leaning into an oversized, effortless sweater with an over-the-top sequin skirt. I've created several monochromatic looks, because I think that's more chic, starting with our Spring neutrals in Cream, Beige, and even Chocolate. While these are probably best for Spring, they definitely work for Autumn girls too (IMO)!
DARING SPRINGS
If you're not a reluctant Spring, welcome. Skip to the end for a bright option that's currently on sale and a real show stopper.
OTHER SEASONS
Not a Spring? There's something for you too in true red!
FOR RELUCTANT SPRINGS

Skirt Sweater Shoes skirt is currently sold out -- here's a similar skirt option
This monotone look is everything I'm looking for this Holiday. The cream sequin pencil skirt from H&M is a great price point, paired with a JCREW oversized sweater on sale with code "shop sale." Both are sell out risks, so check the Holiday edit for alternatives. The viral target shoes are such a great heel height and for only $30 you can feel good about adding to your closet for limited use.

Skirt Cream Statement Blouse Shoes skirt is currently sold out -- here's a similar skirt option
Same look but with a statement blouse that's perfect for date night.

Warming things up a bit, here's another great pencil skirt (on sale) in warm beige with a peek-a-boo moment at the hem, which I love. Pair with either cream sweater and a pair of bronze kitten heels (on sale) and you're ready to dinner out.

Anthro has a beautiful iridescent skirt (on sale) I'd pair with an off-the shoulder brown sweater or an oversized oatmeal sweater from JCREW (on sale) and some chocolate kitten heels. I also love pairing sequin with shine, so grab these Shoes in patent leather instead.

skirt is currently out of stock. Here’s a
Maybe my favorite look out of the mix, but the skirt keeps selling out. I'll be watching like a hawk for restock alerts, but I'd pair this one with a chocolate sweater and shiny shoes for a monochromatic look.
ALL SEASON LOOK

Time for some color, right? This looks to be true red, so according to House of Colour it works for all seasons. If you snag it, color swatch it for me to share.
FOR DARING SPRINGS

This skirt is a real statement piece, right? It's currently on sale, but I didn't love the sweater Tuckernuck paired with it. I wanted a sweater with a bit more green and found one from ASOS (not swatched) that looked a bit better and was $100 less. Pair these with a killer heel from Zara in a bright gold for an outfit only a Spring can wear.
FOR DRESS GALS

I hope these Spring outfits make your holiday looks easier and more fun to wear! Whether you’re adding a few items to your closet, or just using these for inspiration with pieces you already own, I’m so excited to help you embrace more of Spring for the Holiday. I'd love to see your Spring outfits, so tag @thereluctantspring with your unique looks.
Thanks for your friendship and readership — it truly means the world to me.
